Day 1: Shimla to Narkanda

Details: Begin your journey from Shimla and drive toward Narkanda. Enjoy scenic views of the Shivalik hills. You can visit the Hatu Mata Temple and take in panoramic views of the surrounding ranges
Day 2: Narkanda to Sangla Valley
Distance/Time: 160 km (7–8 hours)
Details: Descend into the lush Baspa Valley. On the way, explore Kamru Fort and the Batseri village. You can also make a quick visit to Chitkul—the last inhabited village near the Indo-Tibet border.
Day 3: Sangla to Kalpa
Distance/Time: 60 km (2–3 hours)
Details: Drive back to Karcham and proceed to Kalpa. This region features sprawling apple orchards and offers breathtaking sunset views of the Kinner Kailash range.
Day 4: Kalpa to Tabo
Distance/Time: 90 km (4–5 hours)
Details: Enter the Trans-Himalayan desert terrain. Stop at Nako Village to see the serene Nako Lake. Further along, you can take a detour to Gue village to see the 500-year-old Mummy before arriving in Tabo.
Day 5: Tabo to Kaza (via Dhankar)

Details: Visit the ancient Tabo Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage site. En route to Kaza, explore the cliffside Dhankar Monastery and its high-altitude lake. Check into your accommodation in Kaza by evening.
Day 6: The Highest Villages Loop
Distance/Time: Local sightseeing (5–6 hours)
Details: Dedicate a day to exploring the highest inhabited regions. Visit the world's highest post office in Hikkim and send a postcard. Head to Komic to see the Tangyud Monastery, and end the day viewing the giant Buddha statue in the marine fossil-rich village of Langza
Day 7: Kaza to Key & Kibber
Distance/Time: Local day trip (4–5 hours)
Details: Explore the iconic Key Monastery. Continue your drive to the high-altitude village of Kibber, and experience the stunning views from the Chicham suspension bridge before returning to Kaza.
Day 8: Kaza to Chandratal Lake
Distance/Time: 115 km (4–5 hours)
Details: Drive through the rugged Batal region before climbing to the spectacular crescent-shaped Chandratal (Moon) Lake. You will spend the night camping near the lake.
Day 9: Chandratal to Manali & Departure
